Covid-19: Be wary of 2nd wave; Stay safe to save lives – Sesi Whingan urges residents of Badagry
Mr. Sesi Oluwaseun Whingan, a renown young philanthropist and founder of Sesi Whingan Foundation has urged the residents of Badagry and Lagos State in general to be wary and stay safe to save lives in the wake of the second wave of the dreaded global pandemic, the Covid-19 and how faster it spreading especially in state.
Sesi made the disclosure in a press statement, personally signed by him and released to the media on Tuesday, 12th January 2021 by his media team.
The young philanthropist, who is now making waves in Badagry corridor and its environs due to his humanitarian gestures and assistance to the people, especially the indigents, aged, widows, Youths and women urged the residents to ensure strict adherence to all Covid-19 protocols. He, however, expressed worry over the high spate of the spread of the virus in Lagos.
“No doubt, our dear state, the Lagos State is now the epicenter of the dreaded global pandemic, the coronavirus in Nigeria.”
“Statistically according to the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC as of today, 12th January 2021, Lagos State is the most ravaging state of the Covid-19 in Nigeria with the total confirmed cases of 35,875, with 256 recorded deaths. This is no doubt worrisome, hence the need for caution and absolute adherence and observation of all safety protocols laid down by experts “
” I urge all residents of Lagos State, especially my people in Badagry, to often observe social distancing, frequent hands watching with running water and soap, the use of alcoholic base sanitizer and wearing of facemask, especially when going out. Also, I urge you to stay at home, especially when it’s not necessary to move out of our homes”
” To those who still doubt the authencity of the existence of Covid-19, the pandemic is real, not scam, not joke but deadly”, his statement read in part.
The Sesi Whingan Foundation in late last year renovated and re-equipped a Primary Healthcare Centre in Pota, Badagry, Lagos. Recently, precisely during the yuletide celebration, he erected smiles on the faces of many when he distracted food items to many residents in Badagry.
