BUSTED: FG Names Financiers Of Sunday Igboho

The Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami said an investigation has revealed that a firm, Abbai Bako and Sons, were sponsoring Sunday Igboho.

Malami spoke on Friday at a press conference on investigation reports on alleged acts of terrorism and allied offences perpetrated by Kanu and report on the sponsors and financiers of Sunday Igboho.

He said a report by a security committee constituted by the Federal Government found that the major financier of the Yoruba nation agitator is a member of the National Assembly.

However, Malami didn’t reveal the identity of the federal lawmaker.

He said: “It might be recalled that Abbal Bako & Sons and its promoter Abdullahi Umar Usman are suspects in the on-going Joint Terrorist Financing Investigation.

“Abdullahi Umar Usman is, by way of financial transaction, connected to Surajo Abubakar Muhammad (who was sentenced to life imprisonment in UAE on charges of financing terrorism (Boko Haram).”

Malami added that the security committee also made a damning discovery about the activities of the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

He said the committee found that Nnamdi Kanu was receiving support from both within and outside Nigeria.

Malami said: “We have also established that KANU is not alone in his subversive activities.
