Wasiu Olatunbosun, commissioner for information, culture and tourism in Oyo state, has disclosed that he beat the Covid-19 infection with black seed and herbal medicine.
Olatunbosun made this disclosure barely 56 days after contracting the virus and subsequently going into isolation for treatment.
The commissioner said that he was asymptomatic until he went for the Covid-19 test which came out positive.
He, however, stated that he took about 25 bottles of black seed oil, a bowl of the black seed, lots of alligator pepper, bitter cola and some herbal concoctions to beat coronavirus.
“I took 25 bottles of black seed oil, a bowl of black seed, a lot of alligator pepper and bitter-cola as well as different brands of herbal concoctions, which I drank at interval and used for steaming after my normal dr’ugs, but the utmost is prayers to overcome the trauma,” the commissioner said. Olatunbosun said people do not fear the existence of the virus as while in isolation, close and far relatives came to his house to celebrate the Sallah with him.
The commissioner urged the government to look into traditional medicine and supplement it with orthodox to find a cure for the virus.
