The Secretary to the Government of the Federation and Chairman, Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha has revealed that schools will be reopened on July 13th 2020 to enable final year students in secondary school students and Primary Six pupils take their final examinations.
This announcement came today in a meeting held in Abuja on daily COVID19 briefing.
Boss Mustapha on Monday had said schools remain closed until further evaluations but on Wednesday revealed the Federal Government intention to reopen schools for the sake of final year students, SSCE students and Primary six students.

According to reports, the Task Force Committee said it was working in systematic and fact based way to ensure all its decision making was informed by the best public health data and global best practices that ensure safe re-opening.
“Furthermore, consultations with various stakeholders have already started and additional consultations on memorandum of understanding have been dispatched to various learning institutions and other sectors for their views on the safe re opening their various contents”.
Schools will however be re-opened for all students later when the Federal Government is convinced they the lives of the students will be safe while at school.
