BREAKING: “I Can Never Be Arrested”– Angry Oshiomhole Blasts, Reveals What Actually Happened In DSS Office

National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has spoken out concerning his reported encounter with the Department of State Security (DSS).

The former Edo governor who flew into the country on Friday stated that he was neither arrested nor detained and so was never granted administrative bail by the DSS.

Recall that reports had stated that Oshiomhole was quizzed by the secret police over allegations that he collected bribes during the party’s recently concluded primaries, as well as allegations over his tenure as Edo governor.

He had thereafter left the country on a visit to his wife and Bola Tinubu, APC national leader, in the US and UK respectively.

But Oshiomhole while speaking to newsmen on his return to Nigeria stated, that he visited the DSS office and had a conversation with them. “It was not an arrest or detention”, he said.

He further stated, that it is not the job of the DSS to interfere in the activities of political parties.
According to him, “The conversation centered around APC primaries. The question now is whether or not it is the DSS job to interfere in a political party’s issues. And if there’s an allegation of corruption, it is the responsibility of EFCC and ICPC.”

While denying that the DSS had rescheduled another meeting with him, the party chairman added that Yahaya Bello, governor of Kogi, did not come to pick him up from the DSS office.

“I was the one who called Yahaya Bello and he came, but I drove home in my own car.”

On calls by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for him to be arrested, Oshiomhole said, “What would they have said if it was the PDP chairman that was invited by DSS, for instance over the dollar bazaar at their Port Harcourt primary?

“They would have said democracy is under threat and would have fired a letter to the UN as they often ridicule themselves.”
