Senate President Bukola Saraki says though Nigerians voted for President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015, a cabal is now in charge of the country.
Saraki who is one of the presidential aspirants of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said this when he visited members of the party in Oyo state, to solicit support ahead of the primary election.
He alleged that Nigeria lacked the progress it deserved because voting patterns were determined by religion, language and ethnicity.
“Over the years, we have made mistakes in electing people based on sentiment. Yes, it is time we corrected it,” he said.
