2019: Lagos Lawmaker Threatens Constituents With Tinubu’s Name

The lawmaker representing Ikeja constituency 2 in Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Richard Adedamola Kasunmu, aka ARK, has allegedly told the people of the constituency that all he needed was getting endorsement of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to return to the state Assembly come 2019.

The lawmaker, allegedly notorious for his penchant for drunkenness and addiction to hard drugs, which he exhibits publicly at any given opportunity, has been accused by his constituents of not doing anything to improve their lives and show why they should entrust him with their mandate for another term was said to have told them he does not need them go for a second term.

Alleged to have always appearing drunk and incoherent at public events where he is invited to, Hon Kasunmu, said to be fond of threatening that nobody can do anything to help him because of his connection with Asiwaju, was however recently told at a stakeholders’ meeting that he should stop dropping Asiwaju’s name.

They told him, “The Asiwaju we all know would not condone your unruly behaviour.
“If he as been like you, he would not have attained the enviable position he occupies in the APC not only in Lagos, but I nationally.”

They promised him that he should prepare to meet them in the field during the 2019 section and see where dropping Asiwaju’s name will take him.

Recently, during one of his campaign tours for re election, he specifically said and was quoted to have said, “I don’t need to waste time campaigning. Let other aspirants be wasting their money and time.

“When the time comes, Asiwaju Tinubu will give the directions that will be in my favour.”
One of the constituents, who resides in Ojodu, Akan Imoh, bitterly complained about Hon Kasunmu.

He said, “Can he point at any project his leadership has embarked on or has brought to our constituency? We can’t see strategy or creativity in his leadership. In fact that is even taking it too far, let us start with the fact that we can’t even see him.

“He can’t be our representative by proxy, we need hands on deck and boots on ground, but he has failed us beyond our wildest imaginations.
“His performance as abysmally poor and he is not in any way deserving another term.”
Imoh warned and appealed to Ikeja stat constituency 2 people to use their power, which is their votes, wisely in the coming dispenser dation so that those who see public office as their birthright and avenue to amass wealth at the detriment of the people would be shown the way out.
