In just the past week, former Nigerian president and first lady, Gooodluck and Patience Jonathan have made headlines with multiple claims of corruption. Sahara Reporters decided to ask the people a simple question: Would you support the immediate arrest of former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife Patience?
The results were shocking. With a total of 5,209 votes on Twitter and over 3,500 comments on Facebook, over half of voters said YES, they support the immediate arrest of former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Patience for corruption. 29% said NO and 14% said I DON’T CARE.
The outpouring of comments proves that Nigerians are angry and have something to say about the recent events involving the former president and first lady’s actions. During a recent speech at Oxford Union, Goodluck Jonathan claimed it was “not just possible” that his National Security Advisor, Sambo Dasuki to steal $2.2billion.
Patience Jonathan rented a group of protestors to storm the courthouse this week to cause a scene as her pending $31million fraud case unfolds.
Take a look and see what people are saying about reasons for and against bringing Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan under arrest:
